Maybelline Skyline Blue

Hi :)

Maybelline Skyline Blue is really gorgeous in person, but quite hard to photograph, the colour is so vibrant and the glitter so reflective; but that doesn’t translate to the pictures.

It’s a blue jelly polish with lots of blue, silver and tiny pink glitter.

It looks like a clear blue sea with sparkling gems at the bottom. I really enjoyed wearing it, it sparkled something fierce in the sun :)

This is two coats of Skyline Blue and two coats of NYC Grand Central Station topcoat.

Wet n Wild Eggplant Frost

Hi :)

This is another amazing polish from Wet n Wild. They do the most beautiful colours and the formula is amazing. Plus, they’re reasonably priced. I have an official polish crush :)

This is a purple polish with a vibrant blue shimmer. It was so hard to capture but it is really gorgeous. I have a thing for purple/blue polishes and this one is a great addition!

What do you think?

I want to quickly show you the cute nail art brush set I got in Penny’s too, it was 2.50 euro and it’s adorable!

I love the pink dipped brush heads :)

Wet n Wild Saved by the Blue

Hi :)

I can’t say enough how much I love this blue! I love this blue so much!

It’s one of those dark, glowy blues but it’s also really bright and vibrant – I couldn’t stop looking at it. Instant favourite!

It does have some bubbles in the pic, but that was my fault, the formula was amazing. I find the Wet n Wild’s I’ve tried so far have a thin, watery formula but I really like that because I find it easier to use than thicker ones. It’s a personal preference. However, the colour payoff is just as good as with a thicker formula. This is two thin coats.

Also, I love the cheesy names Wet n Wild use, they always make be smile and remind me of my younger years! Anyone else love Zach and Kelly? :)

Unf! I love this colour! :D What else is there to say!?

What do you guys think? Any blue lovers out there? :)

Jamberry Nails Black & White Stripe, Hard Candy Birthday Bash and Essie Licorice

Hi :)

A couple of weeks ago I was catching up on my blogs and I saw this beautiful set of Jamberry nail wraps being reviewed by somedaysunny.com. I really thought they were gorgeous on her and couldn’t believe my eyes when she said that I could get my own free sample by filling out the form attached!

Of course I filled that thing out faster than the speed of light and shortly after I got this beautiful card in the post, with not just one, but two free samples of Jamberry Nail Wraps! (Enough to do four nails.) Thanks Kami! :D

341.3 Jamberry Wrap Sample and Card

The girl that sent me the free samples is Kami Lingren, shes’s an advanced consultant for Jamberry Nails and she’s also offering the first 30 people that fill out THIS FORM a free sample of Jamberry nail wraps too!

However, this offer is only available to people that live in the U.S., Guam, Puerto Rico and Canada.

Sorry to everyone else! Jamberry is only available there. :(

I do recommend getting the free sample, these nail wraps are amazing! They are the best and easiest ones I have ever used and I am heartbroken that I can’t buy them here! I’m really hoping they go international soon because I already have a wish list of patterns I want to try! Don’t look at the website unless you live in the countries listed above, you’ll only want to buy them! You’ve been warned! :)

Oh! and Kami is currently having a Mystery Hostess party on Instagram – this means that since there’s no set hostess, that anyone who makes a purchase is entered into a draw to win ALL of the party hostess rewards (which equals FREE stuff!).  Just click here to follow! :)

Here is the Black and White Stripe nail wrap in action with Hard Candy Birthday Bash and Essie Licorice:

A wonkier but better picture of the wrap, (my pinkie is so much shorter than my other nails that it’s never in focus!):

341.2 Hard Candy Birthday Bash Essie Licorice and Jamberry Black and White Stripe

You can see that it’s perfectly smooth and has a great shine, I love the look of the perfectly crisp stripes!

The nail wrap was so easy to use! You heat the back of it for a second with a hairdrier, it becomes maluable, you place it on the nail. End of! There was no tearing or wrinkling! I just left it as it was and I’ve been wearing it now for four days and it looks perfect! Couldn’t be simplier. :)

I also have to tell you about the polishes. Essie Licorice, a perfect one coater black polish, a dream in a bottle! Essie is a more expensive brand but the quality is also a lot higher. Licorice is a quality polish. No regrets shelling out for this one.

Hard Candy Birthday Bash is a blue jelly with blue, black and silver glitter. The larger silver glitter were like tiny mirrors! It was beautifully dazzling! This is two coats and my fingers were jam packed with glitter. I love these Hard Candy polishes! Well worth trying if you spot them in Dealz/Poundland like I did! :)

<3<3<3

TL;DR – The first 30 people to fill in the form above will get a free sample of Jamberry Nail Wraps! (If you live in U.S., Canada, Guam, or Puerto Rico.)

Oh My Gosh Cobalt Blue and 17 Silver (Holo)

Hi :)

I have two gorgeous polishes on today and zero pictures that capture that beauty! (I tried my best!)

Oh My Gosh Cobalt Blue is the Holy Grail of blues for me. I’ve always wanted a polish that is dark blue but not to the point that it just looks like I’m wearing black polish. It has to be dark and also blue, and this is! (Am I making sense? or is this crazy nail polish talk?)

17 came out with a holographic polish some years ago and it’s simply called Silver. (Do you remember seeing it in every Boots ad, in every magazine, coming up to Christmas and then checking the 17 stand in Boots every week only to never find it there? …Just me? Ok. Maybe that was just me.) Anyway…*cough* I found it! I went to Dublin for some xmas shopping and found quite a few wishlist polishes and this was one of the best!

It looks like a plain, dull, white silver in the shade but in the sun it comes alive! You get that gorgeous rainbow effect. I love it. So much fun to wear when you’re going anywhere. (Holographic polish has to be worn to the beach in the Summer!)

Here are the best pics I could take of it :)

Do you own any holographic polishes? What’s your favourite?

Revlon Powder Puff (Matte Suede)

Hi :)

I found my wedding nail polish!

Oh, what’s that you ask? Am I engaged? Why no, I’m not.

Do I have a boyfriend then? Well.. no. BUT I have my wedding nails sorted! Yaaaay! :D

Revlon Powder Puff is a gorgeous sheer white polish with very subtle, yet noticeable, blue shimmer and the thing that make it absolutely perfect? It’s matte!

It looks so natural and pretty on and the blue shimmer could be the something blue you have to have when you get married. (Yes, still totally single, but a girl can dream! and in that dream, I’m wearing this nail polish!)

As it’s sheer, you can still see the nail line, which I usually hate, but because the polish is white, the nail line just looks whiter, so it’s a very subtle french mani sort of effect.

Perfect! Perfect! Perfect!

Orly Choreographed Chaos

Hi everyone :)

I am absolutely in love with this polish and it’s the perfect remedy to dank weather! It’s a super hot Barbie pink with blue shimmer.

The formula was a little bit hard to work with because the finish was a little matte and dried quickly, so it dragged a bit. I really wanted a smooth surface to show off the blue shimmer and it got a little lost in the bald spots. However, if I had worked faster or used thinner coats, this wouldn’t have been a problem.

The amazing colour far outweighs the minor formula problem – look how bright! :)

Ciate Ferris Wheel and Caviar Pearls Frost Yourself

Hi everyone!

My posts have been few and far between and I’m really sorry. I hope you’re still out there and sticking with me! :)

This is a mani from last July! (Ok, seriously, I’m way behind on my posts! I’ll catch up though! I swear!)

This is my third free mini Ciate nail polish/Caviar Pearl set.

If you’d like to see the first two then click here.

This set was free with the July issue of Marie Claire and the polish is a very pretty and surprisingly flattering pale blue. (I usually have to avoid this colour because people start checking my vitals). The pearls were the stand out here though, they were royal blue, silver and iridescent pearls and they were soo pretty. Especially when the iridescent pearls caught the light.

The background is black because my cat would not move! :)

Maybelline Ocean Blue and Orly Sparkle Soaked

Hi everyone! :)

Today’s mani is blue, blue and some more blue! I used Maybelline’s gorgeous glassfleck, called Ocean Blue, as the base and, as always, I wanted more bling; so I added some Orly Sparkle Soaked glitter to my ring finger and thumb.

The formulas of both polishes were perfect. No problems.

I used two coats of the Maybelline and I dabbed on some of the Orly, trying to achieve a lazy gradient effect, and it still applied perfectly. This mani was really simple to do but I loved the result. (If I do say so myself!)

Both polishes have a realllllyyy subtle, realllly tiny pink/purple glassfleck effect and it’s pretty up close. If you look realllllyy closely at my ring finger you can see it :)

I used Essie Good To Go topcoat! :)

I’d love to hear if you guys have any polishing shortcuts? (Like dabbing the glitter on towards the end of the nail with the brush to make it look like a gradient instead of using a sponge.)

Thanks for looking!
