I was pressed for time to do my nails this week but wanted to use Essence Pixie Dust in some way and ended up with this quick and easy funky french.
I used two coats of I Think in Pink, added white tips with a sponge and put Pixie Dust just over the white tips. I wanted to be able to see the glassfleck in Pixie Dust but didn’t want to hide the squishy finish of I Think in Pink. That’s it. Quick and easy.
Let me know what you think :)
(Oh! and I’m still wearing the free sample Jamberry Nails Black and White Stripe nail wrap on my pinkie. I’m wearing it for a week so see how it holds up. So far, I’m really impressed!)

Me and the lovely Jaimie of addalittlepolish.com decided to do a collaboration for Valentine’s day! I’m so excited to be doing this with her because she does the cutest manis and it was fun doing something with another blogger, especially one as nice as her.
We decided that we would both do a mani with a gradient theme, but I would do an Anti-Valentine’s version and she would do a Valentine’s version. You can check out her version here! :) She’s also on Twitter, Pinterest and Facebook so you can check out all of her cute nail designs. :)
I used Rimmel Luna Love and Total Eclipse from the Space Dust Collection. (Best texture collection ever!). Luna Love is a bright pink texture with blue shimmer, it is beautiful and it’s perfect for a Valentine’s mani.
But I didn’t want a Valentine’s mani, I wanted an Anti-Valentine’s mani so I used Total Eclipse over it. Total Eclipse is a black texture with green shimmer. Both of these polishes are gorgeous!
The idea is that I’m trying to cover Valentine’s, (pink), with the gaping hole that is singledom, (black ), but it’s not completely covered because love is stronger than hate, it will never be completely wiped out. :) I’m keeping hope alive people! *Passes chocolate around*

I tried a new technique today. I’m feeling adventurous and brave. I defy the nail art Gods! I will master the dark arts of the nail art brush, sponge and striping tape!
It’s called a Syrup mani and here’s how you do it:
You take a jelly (sheer) finish nail polish and you paint one coat as usual on the whole nail, but on the second coat you start about a third of the way down the nail. Then on the third coat you just paint the bottom third of the nail, so you get a kind of gradient effect but with just one colour. It’s supposed to look like syrup dripping off the nails I think?
Anyway that’s what I tried today, I used NYC NY Princess which is a fab dark purple jelly with purple glitter. (Glitter makes everything better!)
What do you think?

Hi everyone! :)
Today’s mani is blue, blue and some more blue! I used Maybelline’s gorgeous glassfleck, called Ocean Blue, as the base and, as always, I wanted more bling; so I added some Orly Sparkle Soaked glitter to my ring finger and thumb.
The formulas of both polishes were perfect. No problems.
I used two coats of the Maybelline and I dabbed on some of the Orly, trying to achieve a lazy gradient effect, and it still applied perfectly. This mani was really simple to do but I loved the result. (If I do say so myself!)
Both polishes have a realllllyyy subtle, realllly tiny pink/purple glassfleck effect and it’s pretty up close. If you look realllllyy closely at my ring finger you can see it :)
I used Essie Good To Go topcoat! :)

I’d love to hear if you guys have any polishing shortcuts? (Like dabbing the glitter on towards the end of the nail with the brush to make it look like a gradient instead of using a sponge.)
