Hi again everyone! :)
Let’s just pick up where we left off: (and ignore the long absence!)
This is NYC Hudson Breeze, a gorgeous bright blue, and for extra fun, I added a coat of Rimmel Pop Art! glitter.
The accent nail is a free sample, from the fabulous Kami at Jamberry nail wraps. You can find them, and her, here!
Jamberry is now available in the UK guys! I cannot wait to finally get my hands on a full set, they are the best nail wraps I have ever tried! Yay! *mini happy dance*

On Air! is one of the new gel polishes from Essence. I’ve tried a few of the new gel polishes and they are fantastic! They are so smooth and shiny. They look like they have a great squishy layer of topcoat built in!
There’s also a new base and topcoat, I haven’t tried them but I will! I have to now because I can’t believe the difference in the gel polishes, I really love the formula so much! I wore polish without a topcoat for the first time in my life, that’s how great they look.
I also found another Rimmel Glitter Bomb, called Midnight Mistletoe; which is a red, green and holographic polish. The Glitter Bomb’s are really pretty and I put the two together and ended up with Christmas mani in May :)

Me and the lovely Jaimie of addalittlepolish.com decided to do a collaboration for Valentine’s day! I’m so excited to be doing this with her because she does the cutest manis and it was fun doing something with another blogger, especially one as nice as her.
We decided that we would both do a mani with a gradient theme, but I would do an Anti-Valentine’s version and she would do a Valentine’s version. You can check out her version here! :) She’s also on Twitter, Pinterest and Facebook so you can check out all of her cute nail designs. :)
I used Rimmel Luna Love and Total Eclipse from the Space Dust Collection. (Best texture collection ever!). Luna Love is a bright pink texture with blue shimmer, it is beautiful and it’s perfect for a Valentine’s mani.
But I didn’t want a Valentine’s mani, I wanted an Anti-Valentine’s mani so I used Total Eclipse over it. Total Eclipse is a black texture with green shimmer. Both of these polishes are gorgeous!
The idea is that I’m trying to cover Valentine’s, (pink), with the gaping hole that is singledom, (black ), but it’s not completely covered because love is stronger than hate, it will never be completely wiped out. :) I’m keeping hope alive people! *Passes chocolate around*

I went absolutely ga-ga over the Rimmel Space Dust Collection. I bought the only two I could find and they both quickly became my favourite silver and nude polishes. They are the best textures ever because they are sparkly and matte at the same time, very pigmented and they look texturised but never snag on anything.
When I came across the entire Space Dust collection in a pound shop, I bought them all, including a spare silver and nude!
This purple Space Dust is called Moon Walking and it has a much richer colour than you see in the bottle and tiny purple glitter that catches alll the light, and larger hex glitter for extra sparkle. I absolutely loved it and didn’t make the mistake of adding anything to it! :)

I’m having lots of fun experimenting with nail art but it’s so scary because it’s very difficult to make it look like it does on Pinterest! Those girls are professionals! (Nail Technicians, not the other kind of professional. ;)
Today I thought, “Why try one nail art effect, when you can try them all?” and I ended up with dots, stripes, chevrons and (always) glitter!
– I used NYC Frozen Metal (silver) under Wet n Wild I Need A Refresh-Mint (green) for the stripes on my index finger.
– My Middle finger is two coats of No7 Snow Wash over I Need A Refresh-Mint.
– Ring finger is Rimmel Disco Fever, hand placed, over NYC Frozen Metal.
– Pinkie is Deborah Lippman Amazing Grace over I Need A Refresh-Mint.

I have a love/hate relationship with Rimmel. They either knock it out of the park or they fail miserably. There is no middle ground. In this case, they surprised me by knocking it out of the park!
I walked passed this collection numerous times, I even left them behind when they were heavily discounted on a chemist counter and I ignored them completely when I saw them online. They just look so unimpressive in the bottle, like a weird lumpy, pearl finish pastel. Who wants that?
However, my dear and lovely Mammy brought me home these three when she saw them and though they were nice. Thanks Mammy! I’m so glad she did because I love them.
It turns out that the Sweetie Crush collection are a set of pastel texture polishes with lovely shimmer, and in the case of the yellow one, with lovely glitter.
They are so pretty and delicate that I had to wear all three together.

Hi guys! :D
With the July issue of Marie Claire, they gave away free mini Ciate caviar beads/nail polish sets and I bought the pink one! I like Ciate nail polish but I can’t support a company that treats nail bloggers sooo poorly. (You’ll have to Google it for the full story).
So I can’t buy the polishes because I have to stick with my blogger girls and, ya know, morals.
They gave these sets away free so I’m not supporting the company…technically….well…look pretty nails!
*Preforms a nail wiggling dance to distract you from the moral greyness*
I decided at the last minute to ditch the caviar beads, because my cat ends up eating them all from the floor where they eventually end up, and instead went for a Pinterest style mani a.k.a. a pretty polish with a blingy accent :)
I used two coats of Ciate Kiss Chase, a very pretty shade of pink with a great formula and then painted my ring finger with Rimmel Precious Metal but the silver polish wasn’t as shiny as Nails Inc South Kensington so I added some no name holographic/silver glitter over it.
Ciate Kiss Chase
This wasn’t my first free mini Ciate nail polish/caviar bead set; here’s one I prepared earlier!
This is Ciate Cookies and Cream and the Caviar beads are called Shooting Star. (This is a June 2012 mani from my archives ((Archives is my fancy term for flickr)) and also my favourite nude polish evvvaaar! :)
Thanks for looking! Hope you like these manis :)
This is Rimmel Purple Reign. It’s one of the polishes from the Metal Rush collection. I realllly wanted all of these when they came out first but held off buying them because I wasn’t sure if the duochrome effect would be as strong on the nail as it is in the bottle. I’m glad I waited because I ended up buying this one for E1.49 in Dealz, bargain! :)
I posted about my other Rimmel Metal Rush polish, Royal Blue, here.
This polish I loved! It’s a red/purple/pink all at once. The duochrome effect is weak and so it looks like all of these colours at the same time and I loved the effect. I used two coats and the formula was fine.
I added this purple-y glitter from Orly, called Ridiculously Regal, on my ring finger because it matched the colour of the polish when it was at a certain angle and I love matchy-matchy nails right now. :)
The whole thing is topped off with a coat of Essie Good To Go.

I hope you like this mani!
I also want to say thank you to Ting, Katherine and TheLizzer and all of you who comment and support this blog. Thank you! :D

Hi guys :)
I grabbed Breakfast in Bed from the new Rimmel Rita Ora Collection because it reminded me of mint ice-cream, perfect for the summer! It has a white shimmer/pearl finish and I was worried I wouldn’t like it, but it’s really subtle so I was happy! I added Catrice Glitterazzi over it because I just bought it and couldn’t wait to try it out :)
Rimmel Breakfast in Bed. The formula was a tad thick and the brush left streak marks, so I used three coats and Essie Good To Go Topcoat.
Rimmel Breakfast in Bed and Catrice Glitterazzi. The formula of the Catrice was perfect, I used one coat and another coat of Essie Good To Go.
I then added a coat of Essie Matte About You.

Hi everyone :)
Rimmel Royal Blue is a pastel duochrome. It has a light blue base and it flashes to lavender and bright green when the light hits it at different angles. The colour flashes are subtle but they go with the base colour, all three colours are soft and pretty.
I was prepared to be disappointed in this polish because I thought the duochrome effect would be weak but instead I liked how the soft colours looked. Sometimes a subtle effect can be as pretty as a strong one.
Of course I couldn’t leave it alone though! I wanted to add a bit more colour, so I added Essence Circus Confetti, a multi coloured glitter topper. I thought they would go well together but they clashed. I liked both polishes but I’d pair them with different polished in the future. It was still a fun colourful mani and I ended up enjoying it while it was on.

Did you ever pair two polishes that didn’t match but liked them anyway?
