Sinful Colors Cream Pink

Hi :)

Sinful Colors Cream Pink looks dark pink in the bottle but when you put it on your nails, it’s actually a light, neon pink! When I put it on, it dried slightly matte, and I thought maybe it was meant to be a matte polish, like Savage, but when I walked by the window I realised it was neon!

It’s not eye searingly bright, it’s a little neon, a baby neon. If you think neon is too much for you but you want to dip your toe in the neon water, then this might be perfect for you. It also has beautiful gold shimmer. This would be perfect with a tan and it was so pretty that I wore it alone.

Wet n Wild Eggplant Frost

Hi :)

This is another amazing polish from Wet n Wild. They do the most beautiful colours and the formula is amazing. Plus, they’re reasonably priced. I have an official polish crush :)

This is a purple polish with a vibrant blue shimmer. It was so hard to capture but it is really gorgeous. I have a thing for purple/blue polishes and this one is a great addition!

What do you think?

I want to quickly show you the cute nail art brush set I got in Penny’s too, it was 2.50 euro and it’s adorable!

I love the pink dipped brush heads :)

Wet N Wild Under Your Spell

Hi :)

I wanted to do an Anti-Valentines day mani for all us single girls, who may or may not, get really bloody annoyed at seeing pink love hearts everywhere! Everywhere! :)

I thought this polish would be perfect. It’s a sheer black polish with lots of dark red, almost burgundy, shimmer. It gives full coverage after three coats, which is what I used. Even the name is perfect! :)

Wet n Wild Under Your Spell:

444.1 Wet n Wild Under Your Spell

Then I used my No.2 Born Pretty Store brush, (that I reviewed here), to make a negative space heart. (For the empty heart shaped hole where love should live but it doesn’t! It’s empty!) (Bitter? Moi?)

444.2 Wet n Wild Under Your Spell

I was reluctant to try negative space manis because I can’t bear the thought of having naked nails, even partially naked! I added topcoat just to have some polish over the heart, I know it’s weird. I’m a nail NeverNude.

So I panicked and used the dotting tool on the bottom of the brush to put glitter inside the heart. (The way I put chocolate in my real heart, to fill the gap.) (Emotional eater? Moi?)

Wet n Wild Under Your Spell and Catrice The Huntsman:

444.3 Wet n Wild Under Your Spell and Catrice The Hunstman

At this stage the girly, sparkly side of me came flooding out when I filled the little heart with glitter and I put glitter on everything! (There’s a metaphor in there somewhere..)

444.4 Wet n Wild Under Your Spell and Catrice The Hunstman

So there’s my confused mani! It doesn’t know whether it’s a sparkly Valentine’s day mani or a dark, empty Anti-Valentine’s day mani.

Which look are you going to wear for the big day? :D

Essence Who Am I? (Porcelain Effect)

Hi :)

Super simple nails today. No nail art, I promise!

This is another polish from the Essence Good Girl Bad Girl Collection. Who Am I? is an off white polish with a delicate pink shimmer throughout so it actually looks like a very pale pink.

I was expecting super shiny, smooth nails from the Porcelain Effect sticker on the bottle but it actually has a matte finish. I was surprised! I’m having a love affair with matte polishes right now so I loved the look and I never did topcoat it. (but I didn’t ruin it with a weird tribal design either!)

Revlon Powder Puff (Matte Suede)

Hi :)

I found my wedding nail polish!

Oh, what’s that you ask? Am I engaged? Why no, I’m not.

Do I have a boyfriend then? Well.. no. BUT I have my wedding nails sorted! Yaaaay! :D

Revlon Powder Puff is a gorgeous sheer white polish with very subtle, yet noticeable, blue shimmer and the thing that make it absolutely perfect? It’s matte!

It looks so natural and pretty on and the blue shimmer could be the something blue you have to have when you get married. (Yes, still totally single, but a girl can dream! and in that dream, I’m wearing this nail polish!)

As it’s sheer, you can still see the nail line, which I usually hate, but because the polish is white, the nail line just looks whiter, so it’s a very subtle french mani sort of effect.

Perfect! Perfect! Perfect!

Orly Choreographed Chaos

Hi everyone :)

I am absolutely in love with this polish and it’s the perfect remedy to dank weather! It’s a super hot Barbie pink with blue shimmer.

The formula was a little bit hard to work with because the finish was a little matte and dried quickly, so it dragged a bit. I really wanted a smooth surface to show off the blue shimmer and it got a little lost in the bald spots. However, if I had worked faster or used thinner coats, this wouldn’t have been a problem.

The amazing colour far outweighs the minor formula problem – look how bright! :)

The New Black Gold Grenade

Hi everyone!

I’ve posted about The New Black twice before and absolutely raved about how great they are and this time is no exception.

The formula is perfection.

The brush is perfection.

The colour is perfection!

I have never loved a brand more! I really recommend these polishes.

This is a beautiful coral colour with gold shimmer. When I wore it during the summer, I had a slight tan and it looked so pretty. The gold shimmer glowed in the sun. This is two coats and I used Essie Good To Go topcoat.

Leighton Denny Best Seller

Hi guys! :)

I have another freebie to show you today, even though it’s from last July! Harper’s Bazaar were giving away free Leighton Denny nail polishes with their July issue and I picked up this colour. It showed promise in the bottle but on the nail it was blah and the shimmer died.

It wasn’t light or dark enough to be anything other than a run of the mill red and the shimmer that would have made it special drowned in the formula. The formula was bad too, not the worst (Model’s Own) but it was a bit thick and took forever to dry.

I have a few other Leighton Denny polishes (all freebies) and they all have bad formulas and take forever to dry, especially the quick dry topcoat!

I was going to order Leighton Denny many times from QVC because he is a great salesman and I like him personally but I’m really glad I didn’t because the quality just isn’t up to scratch, especially given the price tag! Sorry Leighton. This was a big disappointment.

Rimmel Breakfast in Bed and Catrice Glitterazzi

Hi guys :)

I grabbed Breakfast in Bed from the new Rimmel Rita Ora Collection because it reminded me of mint ice-cream, perfect for the summer! It has a white shimmer/pearl finish and I was worried I wouldn’t like it, but it’s really subtle so I was happy! I added Catrice Glitterazzi over it because I just bought it and couldn’t wait to try it out :)

Rimmel Breakfast in Bed. The formula was a tad thick and the brush left streak marks, so I used three coats and Essie Good To Go Topcoat.

Rimmel Breakfast in Bed and Catrice Glitterazzi. The formula of the Catrice was perfect, I used one coat and another coat of Essie Good To Go.

I then added a coat of Essie Matte About You.

Catrice No Snow Petrol and Claire’s Little Peacock

Hi :)

This green Catrice has a pretty blue shimmer throughout. In general, the shimmer in Catrice’s can look great in the bottle and all but disappear on the nail, but this one doesn’t. I was so happy that it didn’t disappear! It looked so pretty and unusual. (Kath and Kim voice “It’s nooice, it’s nooice, it’s unuussuuall”). It was a very flattering shade of green too, so overall I was very happy with this purchase.

The Claire’s is a holographic silver glitter in a sheer pale green base and it was pretty over the Catrice but nothing special. It did just ended up looking like a glitter in a clear base over the green, so next time I think I’ll wear it alone and see if I like it better that way. Thankfully there were no formula problems, (like I had with Claire’s Pink Splatter), but I just wasn’t blown away by it. What do you think of it?
